FAMOUS PLACES TO VISIT IN VRINDAVAN

The home of Krishna, his hometown full of childhood memories, his love and Ras Leela with his divine love Radha - everything is beautiful in the small town of Vrindavan. The cities of Vrindavan and Mathura are of great importance to Hindus, especially since they are mentioned in the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata.

  1. Radha Damodar Temple, Vrindavan

This temple is one of the oldest temples of Vrindavan. It is among the seven important temples of Vrindavan. The temple also houses the Giriraj Shila or Parvat with the footprints of Krishna ji, said to have been given to Sanatana Goswami by Krishna himself. According to popular belief, the temple corresponds to a circumambulation of Govardhana hill.

2 . Sri Radha Shyam Sundar Temple in Vrindavan

The name Vrindavan comes from the name of the Devi 'Brinda', who is also known as 'Tulsi'. This is the same place where Sri Radha and Sri Krishna spent most of their childhood and performed various 'leelas'.

The temple houses three groups of idols: The deities of Sri Lala Lali, the deities of Sri Radha Kunj Bihari and the deities of Sri Radha Shyam Sundar. The best time to worship in this temple is Basant Panchami, which is celebrated here as the most important festival. Other festivals are also celebrated with great enthusiasm.

  1. Old Raas Mandal, Vrindavan Shri Raseshwari Ji Maharaj, Vrindavan

This place is of special significance because the deity of Shri ShriJi RaseshwariJi is present here in the form of Shyam Rang. It is said that Hit Harivansh Mahaprabhu spent most of his life in Sewa Kunj, Hit Raas Mandal and Madan Tera in Vrindavan.

  1. Sri RadhavallabhTemple Vrindavan

The temple is dedicated to Radha rani ji and Krishna ji. The name Radha Vallabh is known as Radha. This temple represents the presence of Radha ji. This is also one of the famous places to visit in Vrindavan.

  1. Bankey bihariji, Vrindavan

This is one of the most famous temples in Vrindavan, which most tourists visit. There are various stories and mysteries about the temple. This is the temple which mainly stands for the presence of Krishna Ji.

 

  1. ISKCON Temple, Vrindavan

This temple is unique and has sculptures of Balramji and Krishnaji. Inside the temple there is a bakery that offers delicious food, and you can also go shopping at the ISKCON market 

 

  1. Prem Mandir, Vrindavan

This temple displays various leelas of Krishnaji and depicts the love between Goddess Radha rani ji and Krishnaji. This temple is also mostly visited by tourists in Vrindavan 

 

  1. Maansarovar the lake of Braj

Maansarovar - the divine pond of Braj:-

This place has the power to create the feeling of enlightenment. Legend hides the beauty of this place because Sri Radha was once angered by Sri Krishna and came to this place.

Here Krishna Ji had pleased her and since then the place is called "Maansarovar" = 'Maan'- anger & 'Sarovar' - refers to the lake next to the temple
